Notes
- Weight = cross-section area × length × density.
- Tube, angle and channel are worked out with sharp corners. Real rolled sections have corner radii and tapered flanges, so expect a difference of about ±2–5%. For billing, use the mill's kg/m from the section table.
- Channel is treated as parallel-flange: web height H, flange width B, web thickness tw, flange thickness tf.
- GI sheet weight here leaves out the zinc coating, which adds a small amount.
